St. Oscar Romero

Rooted in Faith, Rising in Hope.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

As we approach the joyous milestone of St. Oscar Romero Catholic Church’s 10th anniversary, we celebrate a decade of faith, community, and hope. Our past has laid a strong foundation, but it’s our future that fills my heart with excitement—a future made possible by the dedication of our parishioners. We are Rooted in Faith, and Rising in Hope! I am deeply grateful to the over 60 individuals who have poured their time and talents into planning our capital campaign. Your commitment reflects the living stones of our spiritual home, built on faith and service. Now, we stand at a pivotal moment to strengthen our physical property on Chandler Street— starting with site infrastructure and a Parish Ministry Center where we can worship, grow closer to Christ, and care for our community. I invite you and your family to prayerfully discern how God is calling you to contribute a sacrificial gift to this sacred mission. Please bring your completed pledge card to one of our Masses on Commitment Weekend, November 15-16. Together, let us celebrate the abundant blessings God has entrusted to us through faithful stewardship. Yours in Christ,

Fr. Tomás Guillén

PHASE ONE

THE NEXT THREE YEARS

Site Infrastructure Work

The first major step toward building our Ministry Center is merging and rezoning our Chandler property, which currently consists of three parcels zoned for residential, commercial, and agricultural use. This process will take about a year. Next, we’ll connect utilities (water, sewer, electric), obtain permits, and complete site work—including removing buried truck scales. Construction of the Parish Ministry Center is expected to begin in 2029.

Parish Ministry Center Highlights

Weekend Masses will be held in the new Ministry Center until the church is built, saving $8,000–$10,000 monthly in rental costs. The Center will provide space for faith formation, liturgies, Holy Day Masses, weddings, funerals, daily Mass, and extended adoration. The second floor will host children’s, youth, and young adult ministries, while a full kitchen and large meeting rooms will support parish fellowship and events.

LONG-RANGE PLAN

St. Oscar Romero’s vision inspires us to dream boldly — to create a sacred place where faith, community, and education flourish. Our journey begins with the Parish Ministry Center, the heart of what will one day include a new church and school. With prayer, generosity, and steadfast faith, we will build not just buildings, but a lasting legacy of hope for generations to come!

Be part of this sacred mission—your support helps build the future St. Oscar Romero envisioned. Together, we can make it happen!
